Day 62: Chipping Campden to Snowshill
📍 Distance: 10.25 miles (16.25 km)
🌤 Weather: Warm with gusty winds
🕘 Start Time: 09:00 | Finish Time: 15:00
After 61 days on the trail, today felt like a bit of a treat—a shorter walk and walking in good company with my friends. A huge thank you to everyone who came out to walk with me today. It really does mean a lot to share the journey, even for a few miles. I’ll share the videos from today as soon as wifi / 4G allows!
We picked up the Cotswold Way in Chipping Campden and made our way to Fish Hill, enjoying the views and sharing stories along the path. Then it was on to the iconic Broadway Tower, where the wind added a bit of drama to the already stunning panorama.
From there, we descended into Broadway, a charming village where we stopped for lunch.
The second half of the route took us toward Snowshill. What should have been a straightforward walk turned into a bit of an unexpected detour. Thanks to some recent footpath changes, we had a bit of an uphill/downhill repeat—but spirits stayed high, and we found our way.
After a steep descent followed by a moderate climb, we arrived in Snowshill, a picture-perfect village. With time to spare before our pickups, there was only one logical choice: a celebratory drink at the Snowshill Arms. Great company, a sunny afternoon, and a cold drink—what more could a walker ask for?
Tomorrow, the journey continues along the Cotswold Way to Dowdeswell—a stretch of 13.75 miles.
