Let’s Change the Ending:
The Round Windermere Challenge

I’m lacing up my hiking boots again for my next big challenge.

In September I’ll be hiking 30 miles around Lake Windermere in the English Lake District – in under 15 hours!

The Challenge

As many of you know, in September 2022 I walked the Camino de Santiago in memory of Susan, who died of Alzheimer’s disease in May 2021, and to raise money and awareness for Alzheimer’s Research UK. I’m immensely grateful for all the donations from this and my other activities which totalled approximately £15,000 — and the work goes on!

I'm as passionate as ever to support and raise awareness for Alzheimer's Research UK in reaching their goals, so this year I'm taking on another challenge:

In September I will be setting myself the goal of walking 30 miles around Lake Windermere in the English Lake District in no more than 15 hours!

Why It Matters

Every 3 minutes dementia steals a happily ever after. Research is our only chance of changing the ending for people affected by dementia.

Alzheimer’s Research UK is the UK's leading dementia research charity. They exist for a cure.

Your donation helps their scientists and researchers find new ways to diagnose dementia, develop new treatments and find a cure for dementia.
